Re: “High and Dry: Malletts Bay Cottagers Must Vacate Their Homes

IF it comes down to being forced out I personally would TEAR ALL THE COTTAGES DOWN before leaving any building intact for the benefit and use of the landowners . The landowner would then have a very limited time to rebuild on the land as a "grandfathered footprint". Zoning or the VT Shoreland Protection Act would then block the landowner from ever building on those individual sites again as it is technically only one parcel. The rules are quite restrictive. Looks like mr. mungeon will be laying out some serious cash soon to rebuild... Too bad! Spite is an ugly thing that can work both ways.

Re: “Sanders Snags 'Run Warren Run' Boss to Lead N.H. Campaign

We can only hope that Bernie will choose Elizabeth Warren as his running mate when he wins the Dem's nomination!

Go Bernie!

Re: “Burlington Seeks Alternative to Clinic Buffer Zone

Wouldn't it just be easier to put the clinic inside a professional or medical office building where there is a general population of other people or patients coming and going all day long? If this was a clinic located on private property with its entrance away from the immediate public way, then the "protesters" would be trespassing and could be legally ordered to leave the premises, and the users of Planned Parenthood services wouldn't be required to run the gauntlet of harassment. There are plenty of spaces in Burlington that would fit this description. No more legal challenges and expense! Simple! Just sayin'
