Re: “Sanders Spreads Support, but Not in Vermont's Gubernatorial Race

Dunne has publicized his door knocking and phone banking for Bernie more than any policy position. It makes me cringe a little how clearly opportunistic Dunne is and how stupid he seems to think us voters.

More telling is that, given all of Dunne's "support" Bernie has clearly distanced himself from Dunne.

But what sets off alarm bells from me is that the bombastic and misogynistic Jeff Weaver finds it crucially important to throw his weight behind Dunne. Even us white men should stand up in solidarity against the sexist crap Weaver spews. I am embarrassed to have ever supported the Dunne now. I just want this primary to be over.

Re: “Wind Industry — and its Super PACs — Back Sue Minter for Governor

Laura Wilson, I see you making the exact same comment all over the internet: I hope Mr. Dunne is at least paying you for all your hard work trolling the voters. Given his new "bridge loan" to his own campaign he should have no problem finding the funds!

I used to be a Dunne supporter myself until I saw the way he treated people once he knew he had their vote (their questions were no longer his concern) and watched him flip flop on several issues. I have also been nervous from the start that Dunne wanted to be Governor a little too much and he has only proven me right. He acts like he is entitled to the job and the voters are just standing in his way.

Re: “Vermont GOP Asks Lisman to Prove or Withdraw Accusations Against Scott

If any of the people commenting or Mr. Lisman think that there was any actual foul play from Mr. Scott's campaign than they should make an official complaint to the Attorney General's Office instead of trolling the comments section here. The fact that Mr. Lisman doesn't want to make an official complaint and just wants to bad mouth Mr. Scott leads me to believe he doesn't even believe the calls originated from the Scott campaign.

I am sick of these weaselly politicians on both sides (Republicans and Democrats alike). Clearly Mr Lisman has as little respect for voter intelligence as Mr. Dunne and neither appears to believe integrity is an important trait for our next Governor.

Re: “With $95k Loan, Dunne Breaks Pledge to Limit Self-Financing

I originally supported Matt Dunne as a White River Junction resident. However, having heard him talk a couple times now and spoken to him after events I will be looking at other options. Matt doesn't like to be questioned (seems silly to run for political office if you don't want to answer to constituents). At two different local events, he also talked about how he knew people and how he would use his contacts in and out of state to improve Vermont. To me, this sounds like Dunne is openly bragging about favoring people he knows for state contracts. I wish Seven Days would report on how Dunne plans to bring in all his tech friends but still have a fair RFP process.
