Re: “Environmentalist Bill McKibben Dumps Dunne for Minter

Matt has always been committed to the goals set in Vermont to address climate change and adopt renewable energy standards. He has also always been committed to the very Vermont principal of community-based decision making. In his statement yesterday on wind power, he was reiterating what he has always believed and always said, that communities must be involved in making decisions about projects happening in their community.

Re: “McAllister’s Statehouse ‘Assistant’ Alleges She Was 16 or Younger When First Assaulted

It is inappropriate to put the term assistant in quotations in this story -- it is insulting to the woman who has come forward to report her experience. There must be other ways of reorting this that condemn the "alleged" perpetrator not the victim.

Re: “Seven Vermont Women to Watch

I am on the eastern side of the state and I read Seven Days every week (religiously) on line and look forward to getting an actual hard copy when I get into your hard copy distribution area. I know I am not alone. (You have consistently had the best political reporting in the state). But you are really not being accurate/dare I say honet(?) to say you are providing information about Vermont if you are only providing information for the area where you distribute hard copies of the paper.

Re: “Seven Vermont Women to Watch

A wonderful group of women! Just think what you would have found if you had also included the eastern side of the state: House Majority Leader Sarah Copeland Hanzas, Marta Ceroni, Executive Director, Donella Meadows Institute; Michelle Ollie, President of the Center for Cartoon Studies; Carol Jenkins, Executive Vice President for Global Development, International Development and Exchange Programs, at World Learning, just to name only a few.
