I am actually quite happy to see Shirling leave...myself and others were "victims" of his when he was nothing more than a cadet at Colchester using intimidation and threats to get his way with the general public he bumped into in his private life. I was sure I saw the beginnings of his questionable moralities when the incidence of rubber bullets at the hotel took place.
I have been watching Shirling closely all these years for that very reason. I'm pleased I didn't have to speak out in the interim, and now he's leaving. Takes the pressure off of waiting for him to go off...
The last sentence of the piece was priceless! That's what it's all about...to hell with Farva! (In the trunk, or otherwise!)
Personally, I think it would be great if they came up here and shot in on "real" location...the interstate stretch between Milton and Georgia would be hot! (No...NOT the State of Georgia! You've been chugging one too many bottles of Liquid Gold...)
Re: “At Campaign Kickoff, Lisman Bashes Shumlin Administration”
As soon as I saw the bashing of a man who isn't even running for re-election...I knew Lisman had to be a Republican. And as soon as I confirmed that fact, I knew he would immediately start avoiding the issues, or have any concrete proposals for "correcting" what he saw as "erroneous."
And we have already witnessed what the people of Vermont do to outsiders who come here simply to force their own agenda on a state that clearly rejects their philosophies...especially when they flash the cash to impress us of their "qualifications."
