Re: “The Parmelee Post: School Mascot Weirded Out by How Much He Still Means to Man Who Graduated Four Decades Ago

A 'Bear' does have that Gay connotation today that it didn't have 40 years ago.

Re: “FBI Continues to Investigate Jane Sanders’ Burlington College Land Deal

M. Ferrer: Jane Sanders also seemingly used the Burlington College funds at her disposal to bring on the infamous Jonathan Leopold, a former Bernie henchman at City Hall and mastermind of the Burlington Telecom fraud that disenfranchised Burlington voters under the feckless Mayor Bob Kiss Administration, by installing him on the Board of Directors to likely help with the creative financing that was occurring. The modus operandi was similar to what you bring up with the Driscoll daughter in that Leopold's son Jesse was also enriched with his capitalistic endeavors with a Leopold family owned resort in the Bahamas that was used as a 'classroom' for a Burlington College 3-credit Spring Break course in what amounted to Snorkeling and Marine Photography.
These Bernsheviks sure hit the Proletariat Jackpot when it came to BC. It should not be difficult for the FBI to follow the money in this case.

Re: “A Divided South Burlington Tries to Unite With Two Separate Events

Had the suspect in custody been white this very likely would have been deemed a Federal Hate Crime. That the suspect now in custody still had persons of color in the community fearing for their lives and even feeling insecure and scared to death in their own homes, as Chief Whipple has mentioned in interviews, is proof of that racial intimidation and bias required in a Hate Crime. That Leach listed himself on the hit list as another potential victim of color is even more indication that his motive was trying to appear to be a white racist boogeyman in his actions, determined to show that there was racial hatred behind those against changing the innocuous Rebel name. There will be many double standards unfolding in the coming months as this case, and the Rebel name change, unfolds.

Re: “Do No Harm: New Rules Discourage Overprescribing Opiates

Aren't we lucky that Vermont politicians and bureaucrats are so knowledgeable in their craft that they are in a better position than the Physicians and Dentists with medical degrees to dictate to them how to practice Medicine and care for their patients.

Re: “Digital Forensics Led to Charge Against South Burlington Student

Chris in S.B: I think the case with an even better parallel is the one where in the days before the election in November an African-American Church in Mississippi was torched in an arson fire and the words 'Vote Trump' were graffitied onto the side of the ruins. That powerful photo was plastered on hundreds of Front Pages around the Nation and the Media had a field day in the last days of the campaign blaming and insinuating about the type and character of evil racially motivated monsters out there that would do such a thing. Until an arrest was made....

Re: “Raymond James Firm to Pay $145.5 Million to Settle Vermont EB-5 Suit

Is there an implicit wink-wink and nod-nod that all involved won't be criminally prosecuted and that these payoffs, in effect, are buying everyone who committed a crime a Hillary-Pass?
Why is it the wealthy always seem to be able to buy their way out of trouble or Rat their way out of trouble like Stenger did?

Re: “Walters: Welch, Sanders Call for Sessions to Resign

"Several of the president-elect's nominees or senior advisers have Russian ties," he wrote. "Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after election day?"

The key words and context in Leahy's poorly worded question are ...''ABOUT THE 2016 ELECTION' ...and the truthful response by Sessions was No, as he did not speak 'about 2016 election' with the Russian Ambassador..
The two meetings Sessions had with the Russian Ambassador staffer present (not the Ambassador himself) during the election cycle as Chairman of the Armed Services Committee took place in his Senate office with a roomful of other people present and the discussion pertained to committee issues.
Furthermore, the line of questioning with Senator Franken, that is also being ballyhooed as a perjured answer, was also asked and given in the context of the Russians 'meddling in the election' and Sessions being considered as a 'surrogate of the Trump campaign' and again he answered truthfully when he said ' No' as his interaction with the Russian Ambassador was in his role as Chair of the Armed Services Committee, not as a surrogate of the Trump campaign, and again, the discussion did not concern the campaign.
It would only behoove AG Sessions to recuse himself at this point so that his truthful responses can be bared out by people not under his control.
