Re: “Two Burlington Council Members Pay a Colleague for Campaign Work

If Adam Roof sold cars and Jane bought one from him would people be complaining? No. This is a business transaction and a very small one. There's nothing unethical about it. People need experienced campaigners to run campaigns that's that.

Re: “Cheers to Foodie Feats and Frenemies of 2016

Agreed. These meat and potatoes themed-articles make VT seem like a crusty relic, *not* a thought leader in food trends. In NYC, LA, PDX, Europe, and almost everywhere else, plant-based restaurants are trending up and up and up.

Re: “Burlington School Superintendent Shuffles the District’s Principals

The fact that the new superintendant is laying off teacher and citing "budget issues" is absurd when he refuses to release that budget to the public. What is he hiding? We passed a school budget on Town Meeting Day. That hasn't stopped BSD from denying two FOIA requests for it from parents claiming the budget "doesn't exist!?" I agree with Jeff Wick. Please please consider running for school board in your ward. The school system needs people who care about our schools.

Re: “Burlington School Super's South Burlington Digs Trigger Residency Debate

We should be less concerned with his address and more concerned with his silent RIFs in the school district and his efforts to move school staff and admin around like pawns instead of supporting Burlington's community-run schools.

Re: “Greek Out: UVM Frats, Sororities Protest New Property Taxes

This is hysterical. You shouldn't get an exemption from property taxes just because you can afford to pay Greek dues which are several hundred a month.
