Re: “Vermont Legalization in Limbo After House Democrats Pull Pot Bill

Mitzi is the wrong person for the job, such a short time to be there, and she already needs to go!

Re: “Greek Out: UVM Frats, Sororities Protest New Property Taxes

So how is joining the Greek system as opposed to living in off campus housing any different? It's not, pony up and pay your fair share, I have a child at UVM and I have been paying for rent, that includes municipal taxes. The Greek system is not a Benificial Non Profit to the city or Vermont. Many good things may come from living in the Greek system, but that does not mean they are an organization that deserves continues tax relief!

Re: “Winooski Police: Downtown Bust Targeted a Hash Oil Extraction Lab

It's this kind of cavalier production that makes it hard for local folks to just enjoy a little puff every day! There is no need to risk the lives of people in a multi occupancy building by extracting hash oil in an apartment. Tim your not helping the cause by defending the irresponsible actions of the individuals that were being investigated. We need responsible marijuana users in the media, not these guys.
And yes, having been an EMT for 15 years, every action taken at that seen was justified! All public safety personnel deserve the right to make it home safe after their shift!

Re: “Buyer Would Restrict Public Access Along the Bolton Potholes

I believe the public has access to the waters and a 10' median shore edge as defined by the rivers current path. But yes, crossing his property to access would be trespassing. He would need a federal permit to operate a business using joiner brook waters as part of the business. But a permit would not restrict public access.

Re: “Update: A Notorious Sex Offender Settles Into a Quiet Life

I cannot understand why seven days is pleading his case in a public forum. If he is rehabbing his life, fine leave him be. We don't want to have him take up any more of our emotional time or energy. None of us have forgotten the aftermath of that event, it gripped our town and changed us forever! His personal struggle for justice in a difficult world does need not be a part of a public dialogue - it provides too much power to the perpetrator, a public voice!
