Re: “Vermont House Embraces Budget, Tax Bills With Near Unanimity

I don't like the fact that "Kitty" (see, she uses a nickname to humanize herself) Toll felt it appropriate to harangue a member of the esteemed VT Legislature (as far as I can tell, the only one worth his salt) for voting "No" on a bloated budget.

On the Assembly floor, I might add.

I thought there were rules of decorum in your shitbox of a legislature but maybe I'm wrong.

Van Wyck is a hero. He actually spoke truth to power (or conformity), for once.

Toll, not so much. He can vote any way he pleases. I'd wager most of his constituents (you know, those people you refer to as "things" in private parties) applaud him for saying:

This budget is out of control. Stop hiding behind "It's for the kids or its for the needy" and just admit that we have a spending problem, not a revenue problem.

Toll, you suck.

Van Wyck. Class act. While You may be a New Jerseyite according to your bio, you'll always be an old-school Vermonter to me. Keep it up. We need you.

Re: “Vermont Marijuana Legalization Bill Could Be Revived

I sincerely hope this passes.

A "grow your own approach" to this is the best way to go.

It's insane that you can be drafted into military service, pay a butt-load in taxes and be thrown into jail for not paying said taxes without having the option to decide what should go into your own body.

If you can't do that, you're a slave. Say, I think the Constitution has something to say about that.

But wait, the pharmie companies can't profit off of Granny McGilliguddy growing some bud in her back yard.

Better veto it, Phil Scott, aka Captain RINO. Need that road-side "are you stoned" test.

Re: “Watchdog Whistle: This Vermont News Website Tilts to the Right

Oh, one more thing:

good god Seven Days, please tell me you're paying hack Walters with circus peanuts or fake MBTA tokens or something else that's straight-up worthless. Otherwise, you're getting ripped off.

Re: “Watchdog Whistle: This Vermont News Website Tilts to the Right

Here's the deal: (and if this comment isn't deleted, I'll crap myself in amazement):

1) Walters is the most biased guy on the planet.
2) Watchdog actually isn't that bad (Yeah yeah Koch Brothers oy vey Koch brothers koch brothers koch brothers). Reality is, it's the only non-lunatic-left rag that actually covers this state.
3) What's so bad about having an opposing outfit in the news department? In a state where everyone (according to Walters) is or should be a Bernie (Maybe Zuckerman) Bro? (which is funny because Bernie ain't Progressive enough for St. Walters.

Or maybe he's just pissed that Bernie won't talk to him because he doesn't need the people that pay his salary anymore now that he's a national big shot. Bern-man is too important to, you know, show up and vote on shit.
(Enjoy the lake house, Bern-man)

Oh, I get it, you're either with us (agree with everything we say or else) or you're against us.

7Days used to be half-way decent.

I'm sure the reviews of restaurants that will soon be out of business and crappie indie bands are still great.
