I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon once when I was at respite house supporting a friend. I was sitting on the couch in my friend's room while she slept and this woman came in and sat next to me. She had the most calming and caring demeanor. I thought she was a volunteer just checking in to see if I was okay or needed anything, i was so surprised to find out she was the administrator. Everything about her was so impressive and I remember thinking how lucky the respite house was to have someone of her caliber overseeing the house. I hate to think of the respite house changing to more clinical care and less comfort care setting. We are going to lose so much. I always said if I could not die at home then the respite house is where I want to be. Now, I am not so sure.
