Re: “Toscano Café Bistro

Never again for dinner
My husband and I have been to this place a few times for lunch and have been pleased with the food and the service. Our first time at dinner was, however, close to a disaster. We arrived in a timely manner for our reservation. The hostess seated us and got our drink orders before the wait staff got to us. Our appetizer was wonderful, our salads were tasty, our entrees were ordinary after a bit of a wait, and then we waited a _full 30 minutes_ for our check. We noticed people were being turned away. If we could have paid, there would have been an available table. The wait person apologized saying that lots of people came in at once. Fine--take care of the folks who were there first. If we had gotten our check in a timely manner that would have been one less table to worry about. My husband, seeing some of the other tables that our wait person was attending to, wondered if we were not dressed well enough to be worthy of care. We are not tourists, we are locals and _may_ be back for lunch, but never again for dinner. We'll take our dinner business to places that are not inconvenienced by it. Food: 3 Ambiance: 5 Service: 2
