Re: “With a New Policy, Healthy Living Reads the Fine Print for You

I believe there's a spelling error in this article. I think you mean "Wealthy Living."

Re: “'SNL' Skewers Vermont, Where 'the Leaves Change Colors But the People Never Do'

If they think there are no immigrants or minorities in Vermont, they've obviously never been to Winooski. They're a dime a dozen.

Re: “Despite Controversy, Burlington Principal Plans to Vet Student Newspaper Stories

Green is either insane or incompetent, and clearly has contempt both for the law and for free expression. It's long past time for a thorough housecleaning in the Burlington schools.

(To FreedomToThink: you have freedom to think; now try using it.)

Re: “Massachusetts Republican John Kingston Runs a Christian Retreat in Vermont

Why is this news? It appears that no laws have been broken. So, what's the reason for the article? Because he's a Republican operating a perfectly legal Christian retreat in Vermont? I used to think the right's yammering about liberals being intolerant was just so much nonsense, but "news" articles like this are causing me to wonder if there might not be some truth to the claim.

The affluent white middle- and upper-middle classes have turned out nicely, based on these photos.

Re: “New Chinese Environmental Policy Hits Vermont Recycling Programs

@ saysme "I will lead the campaign to collect what I'd estimate are thousands of UNUSED cloth or heavy plastic shopping bags stashed around the state in people's homes and garages that can be donated to those too poor to buy a bag."

I look forward to seeing the poor enthusiastically lining up at your door so you can hand them their second-hand shopping bag. I'm sure they will come in droves. While we wait, let's learn a new word. Facile: (especially of a theory or argument) appearing neat and comprehensive only by ignoring the true complexities of an issue; superficial.
