We went to Waterworks 2 weeks after it opened. Host was nice enough. But soon after sitting at the bar, we encountered the cardinal no-no of a service restaurant: absent and below average service. On top of that, the wings were pricey for the size of the 5 wings we got. Over all left feeling disappointed. "For such a beautiful setting and surroundings, they could be SOOO much more," we thought. Went back 1 month after that. Service standards and personality of the bartender had improved substantially, the food prices seemed pretentious for what we were ordering. But over all a better feeling when we left.
Went back last night, 10/12/15, and The service was great, they evened out the wing order at 6 large wings, and speed in which we received our food was impressive. Left with an overall good impression and another good hang out spot to add to the list ( perhaps the new one and only in Winooski).
Re: “Bistro Sauce”
Pleasantly surprised
I was reading through other user comments and one struck me - the one where they said they pulled up and were impressed. It struck me because as i pulled up, i wasn't. I'd heard nothing about this place - which was good i guess as i didn't know what to expect and probably am being more critical than usual. The outside looked run-down. At the very least a paint job would go A LONG WAY in classing the outside appearnce up. the day we visited we had a kind but a NEW server - i won't comment on service becuase of that to be fair - the trainer was very nice an apologetic though. The cuisine seemed to be high priced for my impression of the place so far but i gave it a go. Had the burger and bleu cheese. The food was really good - very flavorful as was the coffee. portion sizes could be just a bit larger for the price - or drop the price a bit to be comensorate with the size. Good selection of draught beer with 3 Vt micorbrews clearly ready to go. Food: 5 Ambiance: 4 Service: 3
