Re: “Trash Talk: Seven Things to Know About Vermont's New Recycling Rules

One thing that has not been acknowledged is that the hauler who will be required to pick up recycling with out charging the customer for it still has to pay a fee to the regional solid waste facility where they take their collected recycling materials. The state of Vermont has dropped the ball and enacted legislation that doesn't support the solid waste district's needs to be able to meet the cost of the doing business keeping our waste stream down to a minimum.

Re: “On Disclosing Docs, Shumlin Offers Contradictory Explanations

Once again his ethics needs to be called into question. I remember reading a bout a puppet that had a problem with a growing nose for reason similar to this man's behaviors on this whole issue. Naturally he wants to weasel out of telling the whole truth and revealing everything he knew before the November election because in so dong he would lower his credibility across the state and even be forced to resign, I remember a Republican who withheld information about Watergate and was forced to retire. Mr. Shumlin's behavior on this issue is not much different from that of Nixon. I am a firm believer, regardless of which party one belongs to, elected officials need to be fully truthful at all times which Mr. Shumlin hasn't been for a long time now.

Re: “Vermont House to Appoint First-Ever Ethics Panel

It seems to me that this group should not be limited to just keeping track of House Members and their ethics or lack there of, but also include looking into the ethics of the governor and his staff and any who might be hired by him and are working under contract for the State such as the individual who proclaimed that it was necessary to keep things secret because the voters were stupid.
