Re: “Y Close Winooski? Gym Was a Drag on YMCA's $22 Million Fundraising Goal

12-Step programs have a daily reading inspirational card and one reads - do three good deeds today without being found out, if any one of them is - it doesn't count.

I agree with Mark Lade, does every philanthropist have to boast about their giving by having their name on a building, an article in the press or on the news?

Why isn't making someone else's life a little better enough, why do they always have to boast about it and make it public. Egotistical. It turns me off.

Re: “Heated Forum Leads Pride Center to Denounce 'Mister Sister' Name

"The owner of the proposed bar, Craig McGaughan, is a gay man who has said in public statements that he sees the name as a gesture of inclusivity."

Seems to me like INTENTION is everything here. Bravo Mr. McGaughan, you did very good.

Instead the gay complainers have chosen to ignore his intention and are choosing to foster anger and negativity instead of gratitude. He INTENDED FOR THE BAR TO BE INCLUSIVE folks. Stop your whining and enjoy having a place to meet for fun again.

How about trying some adult gratitude instead of all this immature whining. If you don't like the name, open your own bar.

Re: “In Budget Address, Scott Pitches School Spending Freeze

A school spending freeze. YES, YES, YES. That is exactly what Vermont taxpayers need.

Re: “In Budget Address, Scott Pitches School Spending Freeze

Phil Scott has ALWAYS stated that school spending had to be rained in. Now he is doing it - finally some support for taxpayers. Bravo!

Now the whining begins - we will have to cut teachers and programs. Bull.

Thank you Gov.

Re: “In Farewell, Shumlin Reveals His Father Used End-of-Life Law

Brenda Pepin: Why do you care...your question seems purely antagonistic. Nasty.

Re: “Vermont Supreme Court Rules That Shumlin Can’t Choose New Justice

Too much Shumlin. Glad to start anew.

Re: “In Farewell, Shumlin Reveals His Father Used End-of-Life Law

Having cared for many people dying and suffering through what can be a long process, my heart and compassion for the dying person and the family, can only support the end-of-life choice.

It is a very personal experience and we ought to refrain from judging and knowing what is best for others.
