Re: “Recordings Reveal: White Supremacist Group Changed Rally Plan Because of Info Leak

I heard about the KKK demos in Newport from several folks who lived or live in Newport. The one who told me the most about it is extremely conservative. I never got dates from these folks but one is in his 30's.

In Newport, i've seen tatoos from racist groups (a racist skinhead group) and about 2 weeks ago a business card from a Nazi group was posted in a grocery store. No one knows who put it up but a fingerprint was recovered from it.

Re: “Recordings Reveal: White Supremacist Group Changed Rally Plan Because of Info Leak

Fascists are nothing new in VT. The KKK had demos in the NEK until a few years ago and one sees tatoos from nazi skinhead groups on occassion as well as propaganda from various degenerate nazi groups. As they said in the Blues Brothers Movie - "I hate illinois nazis".

I guess it is a blessing my grandfather did not live to see this. He fought the nazis on Normandy Beach. ...Now they are a spreading infestation in the US.

Re: “Woman Shot After Man Opens Fire Into Crowd Outside Burlington Bar

It sounds to me that there may have been another person involved with this incident. Maybe wait til the investigation is complete to jump to conclusions.

It seems like one person was involved in drunken recklessness with guns, but there may be another person who contributed to this incident. If the shooter is to be believed - they may have used a gun as well. From the description it seems like the suspect pretty much confessed on the spot.

Re: “Winooski Candidate Ebony Nyoni Has Competition — and Legal Trouble

Patrick, the amounts of money involved are very small. Most professionals earn about 20x what Ebony has in the last year.

It's hardly the case of the year. I doubt that the money in question will even be anywhere hear what the court costs will be.

While there may or may not be wrongdoing, if there was, this whole thing is just incredibly petty. The only thing that makes it even remotely newsworthy is the fact that Eb is running for office.

Re: “Winooski Candidate Ebony Nyoni Has Competition — and Legal Trouble

The conviction of Assata Shakur was very shakey. She had a broken bone that would have made
holding a gun difficult or impossible. She was shot twice by the NJ troopers. It's not believable that she killed the trooper. ...Though i guess we will never know the full extent of what happened as she has fled the US and is living in the Carribean.

Re: “Cops to Review Policies After Fatal I-89 Shooting of Suicidal Man

It sickens me that people try to act like there is no problem with policing in the US when US police shoot over 1000 people every year. ...Or they try to say that awareness of this problem is "politicizing".

There are too many dead bodies. This needs to stop as does the rush to justify police shootings.

Re: “A Transformational Candidate: Hallquist Plans to Run for Vermont Governor

I am dissapointed at everyone bashing 7 days in the comments. It dries out my wet boots and starts my woodstove as well as it ever has.
