View ProfilesI've been living overseas for thirteen years and when I came to visit at Christmas I was staggered at what a ghost town the mall has become. Many memories of shopping there as a child. Hope these new plans can bring some life back to this area. I like the forward thinking of building a parking garage that can be converted into residences. Fourteen stories does seem a bit ambitious though! Very glad we didn't end up with an interchange on the waterfront.
Nitpick - the photo of lower Cherry Street would be more likely to be 1968, not 1958, judging by the van in background and the Triumph TR5.
Re: “Obituary: Roddy O’Neil Cleary, 1932-2021”
Tom and Neil, I'm sorry to hear of your Mum's passing. It was great to run into her when I visited my father at the rest home. She hadn't changed a bit from the last time I saw her twenty years prior, and was still that incredibly warm person I remembered. What a legacy she has left, and she touched the lives of many. All the best, Matt Agnew
