If this was parked in Williston I would have a hard time not going often.

Re: “Court Finds Abuse Claims Baseless — but a Mom Still Can't See Her Son

I am furious that this has gone on as long as it has without more media coverage. The Bio father and step mom are evil, child abusers. This child will be so messed up from what they did, so many resources will be needed because of what they did. They bankrupted a good mother and her elderly mother. They harassed a family. They tricked an GAL so badly she quit her job as an ATTORNEY. These people have effected enormous amounts of people.

I didn't know either side and I haven't ever been through Family Court. In fact, I worked for a court diversion program for 8 years and interacted wuth Family Court. I thought I have heard it ALL. Wow, I wrong. Yesterday I was listening to a radio show about adoptees of the One Child Rule that China recently lifted and then I picked up 7 days on my way out of HL, like I often do... and saw this. I thought, injustice far and wide and really TOO close to home.

Let's see justice now!

Re: “Lawmakers Outline More Than $28 Million in Potential Cuts

The state needs to cut programs that underserve the intended population and are outdated or underused. For example, the state pays for a program but referrals are never made or are withdrawn due to personality conflicts. We fund a court diversion program in Bennington, who has a State's attorney who makes no referrals
We have a half way house in Barre for young men leaving jail that routinely serves at half occupancy, DCF paid for Restorative Justice, only to refer a handful over a number of years in Washington County. Community Justice Programs in each county have low numbers for cases referred prior to formal charges.
I am positive there are more examples but it is going to coat the State to know where the dead wood is.
