Re: “Solid Waste or Chicken Feed? Regulatory Change Riles Farmers

Another example of over-privileging those who complain, and under-appreciating closing the loops on a "perfect circle" of nutrient-cycling, benefitting so many, including Vermont's farmers. If Vermont can tolerate manure pits and slurry-spreading, it can certainly tolerate compost piles managed by chickens, and visited by crows and seagulls.

Re: “Hatchet Tap & Table Coming to Richmond

Very happy to welcome Hatchet to the area! We are a local farm next door in Huntington (Teal-SHo Farm)specializing in unique, plant-based forest and orchard products and in 2014 we instigated a permaculture food lab to develop place-based cuisine celebrating the vast spectrum of flavors coming from the land. We want to encourage our local establishments to find a spot for plants, mushrooms, beans, and foraged ingredients next to the typical meat-cheese fare. We'll be there every week and will bring crowds if there's some healthy plant fare on the menu! Good luck.
