Re: “Shumlin Administration Denies Attempting to Destroy EB-5 Emails

Shumlin has a proven track record of lying to Vermonters, and that is why he is not running again because he knew he was going to have all his chickens coming home to roost.

Re: “House Committee Proposes $48.3 Million in Tax and Fee Hikes

Well I believe there has been a saying, a very old one at that; you reap what you sow. Well, we Vermonters have let these 3 branches controlled by one party go too long in their march to drive us to Socialism. Now we find the tastes in our mouths unbearable and decide to squawk? Better we do it now, this fight to reclaim your property and tax monies because the government and leadership has done such a better job than you could do right? read your Vermont Constitution and see it is very simple and written for the common person to understand without being put to sleep or needing a lawyer. You can get through most of it over coffee and a bagel.
You and your children/grandchildren deserve nothing less.

Re: “Leftist, Militant and Queer: Rachel Siegel is Shaking Up the Burlington City Council

Where do all the comment go? She was a crafty one this babe! She was sneaky about her emails that are still being withheld from the citizens about how she made sure to avoid public meetings were open and available to all.
Like I said, where do all the comments go now that these Burlington ordinance bills are back on the burner being pushed in Montpelier by Mayor Miro, Attorney Blackwood, and all the Representatives from Burlington?
Crickets can can be heard chirping now....

Re: “Burlington Says Gun Control Is Not Outlandish

Why can't we force the the city councilors, the Mayor of Burlington, and all of our State Representatives read to one more time exactly the simple wording of "Our" Vermont Constitution, at least the pertaining parts because it might be too hard for the college educated ones as it was written for the common people to be easily understood.

http://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/co…

Start with Chapter 1. A DECLARATION OF THE RIGHTS OF THE INHABITANTS
OF THE STATE OF VERMONT, Article 1, Article 16 then check out the violations of
Chapter II, PLAN OR FRAME OF GOVERNMENT

DELEGATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF POWERS § 16. [REPRESENTATIVES' OATHS]
See the parts in here that you think might apply.

Now, after reading this, you also go online at:
https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/CityCouncil/A…
and search the minutes for meetings and voting information you will see how we have violated. City attorney Blackwood testified Thursday (1/28/15) prior to mine that all (3) bills are "Substantially changed" from what was passed by the votes and presented to the House in 2014.
So how can they legally proceed with this now with a revote? (Oh, they have about 600+ pages still sealed you can't get even under FOIA that apply to this but go to http://www.gunownersofvermont.org/wordpres… for those details.)
As A resident of Burlington who fought from day one against these illegal ordinances that were improperly communicated and misrepresented to Burlington Voters, I will be one of the first to look at any and all legal remedies against all participants who gave injury against my rights and liberties.

Re: “North Ave Ballot Question Puts City Officials in Sticky Situation

I went door to door helping get signatures with the first version of the petition, and then the second one. It was very obvious both times from people from a very high percentage approached that support keeping North Avenue just the way it is now. 4 lanes where they are in certain areas and no special bike lanes. No interest in support for the pilot studies are what I found as folks do not trust the body of the city council. The NPA and the Task Force have been very much one sided on this issue (only to support the side of the pilot study).

Karen has shared a lot of her exchanges of communication between the Secretary of state and City Attorney on request for clarity and how to properly proceed for requesting the right wording and process for this. For the City to now pull this is very sad and smacks close to skirting violations of our 1st Amendment rights to petition our government.

I urge people to make sure that they speak out to help us Monday night at the city council get this on the ballot!

Re: “Senate Sends Gun Bill to Shumlin

what an outright falsehood! somebody needs to learn how to do some serious fact checking, vet these articles better before printing them.
7,000 letters delivered to the statehouse on April 10th, is hardly nothing.
We have been going to there, calling, emailing and every other way to contact our Senators, Representatives and the Governor to voice our disapproval, and this story is so disingenuous it is insulting to the thousands of Vermonters who you are calling liars.
