More Applause for A Single Pebble

Side Dishes

Published February 27, 2013 at 8:29 a.m.

Four years after founder Steve Bogart left A Single Pebble for a consulting career, the Burlington Chinese restaurant is still gathering plaudits. The latest recognition comes from Travel + Leisure magazine.

Writer Kate Parham credits Taiwan-native owner Chiuho Duval with the farm-to-table, family-style dishes that put the restaurant on the magazine’s list of the 25 best Chinese restaurants in the U.S. She specifically praises the mock eel, dry-fried string beans and tangerine-peel chicken. A Single Pebble is the only Vermont restaurant on the list, and one of only three in New England.
