Re: “Champlain Parkway Opponents Threaten to Derail Burlington Project

It should be mentioned that Steve Goodkind and Charles Simpson have a political interest in trying to stop the Champlain Parkway project, much the same as their political interest in stopping the Burlington Mall project. Neither of them will be directly affected by the Champlain Parkway project. We should all look at and consider the comments of people who live and work in the project area rather than outsiders with other interests.

Re: “Council Approves Preliminary Agreement With Burlington Town Center Developer

How about getting Sinex to put up a Google SketchUp plan of what it will be. Then we could all go look at it, even go inside it, see the scale etc. It would be much better than a physical scale model that by its very nature has to be incomplete.

Re: “Hospitals Oppose Proposal for an Independent Surgical Center

Where have I heard this argument before? Was it taxis against Uber and Lyft? Was it Amazon against bricks and mortar? Was it hairdressers against unnecessary regulation? The entrenched, protected, "unions" want to keep their monopolies and higher prices. It is inevitable, as more people pay more out of pocket for health care they will want to go to this type of facility. The big hospitals better start preparing for it now instead of fighting it and becoming albatrosses.
