Re: “Hen of the Wood (Burlington)

Hen of the Wood is clearly In a class of it's own
My wife and I had the pleasure of being invited to the soft opening last night before they open their doors to the general public on October 9th. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff and then one of the Co-owners William. The restaurant is warm and inviting with barn board soft lighting and an amazing aroma. We had a choice of sitting at a table, the bar or a counter seat that overlooks the prep and cooking area. We chose the counter which I highly recommend. The amount of detail that goes into making each and every item that is served is nothing short of spectacular. You can also take a walk towards the restrooms and pass by windows that look into the back kitchen and walk-in freezer which we thought was a very neat feature. Unlike my wife who loves just about everything I am not usually one to try new things but I can honestly say that I tried and LOVED each and everything that my wife and I ordered. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive and the food is truly in a class of its own. . We were very impressed with Hen of the Wood and I strongly recommend this restaurant. Hands down this is the very best that Burlington now has to offer. I look forward to my next experience there. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5
