Swanton – Charles K. Church a lifelong resident of this area, passed away Saturday, August 19th, 2017, at the St. Albans Healthcare & Rehab Center.

Born in St. Albans on March 12th, 1937, he was the son of the late Clyde Elmer and Clara Edith (LaFrance) Church. Charles was 80 years old.

Charles served his country in the United States Army and then began a long career with the New York City Transit Authority.

Survivors include his sisters, Patricia Paxman and her husband, Larry, of Swanton, Beverly Samson of North Adams, Massachusetts and Rosemary Hampson of Crawford Bay, British, Columbia, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his brothers, Edward, Ralph and Vernon.

It was Charles’ wishes that services be private and interment be in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
