Obituary: Elizabeth Cooper

Elizabeth Cooper, age 70, years, died Friday evening, April 3, 2015, at her Brosseau Road residence with her son Kirk at her side.

Born in Meunchberg, Germany on, October 31, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Anna Voit. She attended schools in Germany and on June 18, 1969, was married to Roger Leo Cooper who predeceased her on January 23, 2003.

Prior to retirement Liz had been associated with Mylan Technologies for nearly 20 years and earlier had worked for the United States Postal Service both in Highgate and Swanton. She was a local Avon Representative and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Charles DaPrato Post 778 in Swanton.

She leaves her son Kirk Cooper of Irasburg and close friends Donna and Paul Smith of Highgate, Dick and Sandy Thompson of Swanton and Paul and Barbara Noel of Highgate, Brothers-in-law, Maurice St. Pierre and Rodney Machia of Highgate as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband Roger, Liz was predeceased by a son Keith Cooper on November 14, 1995.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 12 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, VT. Father Luke P. Austin will officiate. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Cooper family lot in Saint Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Gifts in Elizabeth Cooper’s memory may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency – Hospice Program, 3 Home Health Circle, Saint Albans 05478.
