Florence Mary (Dudley) Kinsley, age 81 years, died Wednesday afternoon, March 11, 2015, in the Saint Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center with loving family at her side.

Born in Berkshire on, October 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Percy Dean and Ethel Mary (Archambault) Dudley. She attended school in Berkshire and on, June 23, 1977, was married to Donald French Kinsley who predeceased her on, July 26, 2010.

Florence was always very outgoing spending time with family and friends. She may have been short in stature but she wasn’t in personality. She was always happy to help you solve problems, giving you advice whether you wanted it or not. She made sure you knew the difference between right and wrong, standing by her decision with great resolve. Ready at all times to use her favorite phrase, “I told you so.”

During the summer you would find her going to check out what deal she could find at the next yard sale and she had a hard time not picking up something at each and every one. Although she no longer went camping anymore it was not too long ago that taking the granddaughters on vacation was an enjoyed outing. Florence was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Berkshire, actively participating as a Prayer Warrior and going on several Woman Retreats. Florence’s faith was strong and she would always look for ways to give assistance in any spiritual matters to show others how God was there for them.

As an excellent seamstress, Florence worked several years for the Johnson Woolen Mills as well as other sewing facilities in St. Albans, Enosburg Falls and Morrisville.

Florence leaves her son, Paul E. Willequer, his wife Melissa and daughter Mariah of Richford; four daughters, Susan Lapan and her husband Tony of South Carolina and her daughters, Shashaunah and Rebekah and her husband Dustin of Burlington; Mary Morris of Saint Albans and her children, daughter Megan and companion Eli and her daughters, Alaina and Marley of Fairfield, and sons, Micah and his wife Janet of Berkshire, David and his wife Dominique and their sons Dazmir and Daijiro of Virginia; Kim Willequer and companion Cecil Riley of Enosburg Falls and daughter Malissa and companion John and their son Lucas and his sons Anthony, Jordon, and Harley of Franklin, and son Jesse Wells of Enosburg Falls; and Bonnie Root and companion Ian Sansom of Eden Mills; and her sons Nicholas and Jeremy of St. Albans and daughter Jessica and her husband Matt and their daughters Geina and Hanna of Florida. As well as step-son, Leon Kinsley of Fletcher and 3 step-daughters, Donna and her husband Jerry Papariello of Winooski and their son Michael, his wife Beth and their children Kevin and Kyra of South Burlington; Joan and her husband Robert Hanson of Fletcher; and Betty Tassie, her daughter Elizabeth and companion Jack, and son James and companion Kiki and their son Connor of Washington.

She also leaves brothers, and their wives, Hugh and Lillian Dudley of Fairfield and Robert and Joyce Dudley of Bakersfield; a sister Joyce Mitchell and husband Howard of Fairfield as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents and husband Donald, Florence was predeceased by a sister, Marion Rivers and husband Warren, as well as a brother Earl Dudley.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton. The Reverend Patrick Hoadley, pastor of The Lighthouse Assembly of God in Berkshire, will officiate. Spring Interment will take place at the Dudley family lot in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin Village. The family would like to request that people wear cheerful colors to celebrate Florence’s life.

A potluck reception to celebrate Florence will follow funeral service at the Abenaki Building, 100 Grand Avenue, across the road from The Kidder Memorial Home. Any questions please call Bonnie at 802-635-9406.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m.
