Our times together were always filled with laughter and memories of growing up as a family. Favorited family stories included a special friend, Sandra Chagnon.

On September 1, 1973, Karen would share that it was the luckiest day of her life. She married the most wonderful man, Morris G. Mulheron. Together they were blessed to have two much loved, exceptional sons, Morris G. Mulheron, Jr. and Matt Robert Mulheron (Chelsea). The most precious gifts their sons gave to them are Christopher, Hayley, Isabelle and Isaac. Karen also leaves Morris, Jr’s fiancée, Crystal Adams and her son, Kevin.

Karen was accepted into the Mulheron family by Myrna Flanagan, who welcomed her with open arms and became a second mother to her, teaching her baking and canning and providing tasty treats for all occasions, Deborah Menard, always giving of herself, not only to Karen, but to the entire family who unselfish love and support, a true sister. Her brothers-in-law, Nelson Mulheron and Alan Mulheron; sister-in-law, Linda Mulheron and a very special nephew, Robert (Do) Menard, Jr, who holds a place in her heart for all he has done to make her Florida time wonderful.

Her professional life was working as a Registered Nurse at Northwestern Medical Center and for Dr. Joseph Salomone, friend and mentor. Many friendships were made among co-workers and the surgeons she had the pleasure to work with throughout her 23 years of service. A heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Payne, Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Woodhouse, Dr. Tremblay, Dr. Sullivan and Dr. Fontaine for their support in promoting the First Assist program. Thank you to the compassionate, caring, supporting friends who made her last days joyful, Cindy Vaillancourt, Mary Bates, Sally Krupp, Carol St. Peter, Nicole Laroche, Stephanie Fregeau, Diane Greenfield and Lori Shuren.

A special note of gratitude is extended to Franklin County Home Health for the care and compassion during her illness. To Joyce, Emily, Jean, Kim and Isabelle, thank you for all you did to make Karen comfortable both emotionally and physically and also to Dr. Manchester and his office staff.
