Marie Teresa Ago, 88, of North Avenue in Burlington, VT died on August 11, 2015 at University of Vermont Medical Center after a short illness.

Marie was born on February 12, 1927 in Brooklyn New York, the daughter of Peter and Millie Lorenzo. She was married in 1947 at Our Lady of Guadalupe church in Brooklyn, to Frank Charles Ago to whom she stayed happily married for over 55 years. Marie’s unconditional love for her family and joy of life will live with us in her memory and forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her son John and his wife Jan, and her daughter Patricia and her husband Charles, her grandchildren, Michael & Kim and her great grandchildren Tori, Lindsey, Gabrielle and Giuliana, and many loving nieces and nephews and friends. Marie is predeceased by her husband Frank in 2003 and her daughter Paula in 1999.

A memorial mass will be held at Saint Mark’s Church, 1251 North Ave, Burlington, VT on September 26th at noon.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or National Shrine of St. Jude 205 W. Monroe St, Chicago IL 60606. Arrangements are in the care of the Cremation Society of Chittenden County, a division of the Ready Family, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington, VT.
