It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful Mom, Mildred Shepard. She has left this world to join her husband, son and granddaughter. She was born Oct 25, 1925 to Otis and Lillian Norcross. She attended Holy Angels and Bellows Free Academy.

She married Raymond Shepard on June 3, 1946. Together they enjoyed many years of spending summers at their camp on Lake Champlain. They were exceptional figure skating partners. Mille enjoyed most sports, especially baseball, playing cards, shopping, family gatherings, cooking fabulous meals and dancing.

She was a member of the Ladies of St Anne and the VFW Auxiliary. She worked at Union Carbide for many years retiring to care for her husband.

Millie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters Rae Shepard and her husband Les Waters, Diana Patenaude and her husband Michael, her grandchildren Todd Labrie and his wife Diana, Nathan Patenaude and his wife Margreth, her great grandchildren Liam and Harper Patenaude and Tai Labrie.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, her son, Richard LaMarche and her granddaughter Megan Patenaude. She was also predeceased by her siblings Rita, Leona, Lawrence, Genie, Ken, Bill and Marion.

Our family would like to thank the dedicated staff at the Holiday House for providing Millie with a loving family environment and compassionate care. We would also like to thank Bayada Hospice.

In honoring our Mom’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Angels Catholic church on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Shepard family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Megan Patenaude Scholarship Fund % Peoples Trust Co.
