Shawn Ellis Turner, age 23 years, died early Sunday morning January 18, 2015, in the Northwestern Medical Center.
Born in Saint Albans on June 6, 1991, he was the son of Sherry Machia and Lester Turner, Jr. He attended Missisquoi Valley Union High School and for a time worked on his grandfather, Thornton Machias farm located on the Machia Road in Sheldon. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of 4-wheeling, putting together car models, swimming, and the fox symbol. He was also known to be excellent at drawing.
Shawn leaves his mom, Sherry Machia; his father, Lester Turner, Jr.; his son and daughter, Brianna and Keveren Turner; two sisters, Samantha and Shalee Turner; paternal grandmother, Linda Vincelette and maternal grandfather, Thornton Machia; his girlfriend, Amber Reynolds; niece Nevaeh as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Frances Machia and paternal grandfather, Lester Turner, Sr.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday January 24, 2015, at 11a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton. Pastor Daniel Brueckner of the Swanton Christian Church will officiate. Interment will follow at the Machia family lot in Saint Louis Cemetery, Lamkin Street, Highgate Center.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers gifts in Shawns memory may be made to the family to assists with final expenses, in care of, Sherry Machia, 149 Thornton Drive, Sheldon 05483.
