Obituary: Thomas Wayne Lucier

Thomas Wayne Lucier, age 75 years, died early Wednesday afternoon November 6, 2013, in the St. Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center with loving family at his side.

Born in St. Albans on December 18, 1937, he was the son of the late William George and Catherine (Conroy - Farnsworth) Lucier. He attended St. Anne's Academy and on June 27, 1959, was married to the former Phyllis Sullivan who survives him.

For many years Tom owned and operated Lucier and Son Inc. a television and appliance business in Swanton Village. He loved music and as a very talented musician played guitar, bass and banjo, was involved for many years with the Grandma's and Grandpa's Choral Group, The Singing Troubadours and in the early 1960's had his own band known as The Swingsters. he also sang for several years in the Holy Angels Choir and as a hobby especially enjoyed woodworking.

Tom was a lifelong parishioner of The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Swanton and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus #1149 in St. Albans.

Besides his wife Phyllis of 54 years, Tom leaves two sons, Scott Phillip Lucier and companion Lori Bushey and Lorie's granddaughter Kaylena and Brian William Lucier; a sister, Doris Hubbard and her husband Frank and a brother Robert Lucier and his wife Gale all of Swanton as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, He was predeceased by a brother James Lucier.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday November 9, 2013, at 2 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. Father Emmanuel I. Ajanma will officiate. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Lucier family lot in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of the funeral.
