Re: “La Boca Wood Fired Pizzeria

A long-awaited and welcome addition to the North End. I broke my long-standing rule and went within the first week of opening and I do regret it. It took over an hour to be served. 45 minutes for the salad alone! While the appetizers were yummy, the pizza was under-cooked and bland. When you dine at a wood-fired pizzeria, your expectation is for a thin, crispy pie. The pie they served us was too thick and as a result undercooked and doughy. The service was okay--our waitress was friendly, but we rarely saw her--but the noise was painfully loud. I am glad to hear that they will take steps to remedy it. Despite my poor dining experience, I will go back and support this restaurant because we need local eateries in the NE. Hopefully they will work all the kinks out and succeed.
