When did this "epidemic" begin? When did it grow?
While firearms ownership and carry restrictions have been rescinded, and sales soar, crime rates (including murder) have trended steadily downward for nearly 30 years. And accident rates have dropped steadily for far longer.

Well, not quite.

B. The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting. It is, in fact, specifically about preserving Citizen ownership of actual weapons of war, to be used against a tyrannical government, or invading force. Self-defense is a peripheral benefit and application.

At no point did you explain how a lawful company is responsible for third-parties using their lawful products in a criminal manner.
Are you going to slander BMW and Toyota for the criminal uses of their cars next? I understand that many criminal gangs prefer those brands and modify them further for additional utility in crimes....
