Re: “Arizona's 'Sheriff Joe' Surprises Jane Sanders With Vermont History

lol The Ben & Jerry ice cream that is sold in the Arizona is not made in Vermont. The company is still headquartered in Vermont but is owned by a foreign corporation for the last 10 years or so. His attachment to Vermont/New England by eating the ice cream is abit of a personal fantasy.

Re: “Seven Vermont Lakes That Aren't Champlain

Willeys is not mentioned cause when you walk into the deli your greeted with a sign...."We don't make sandwiches" or much of anything else one gets for lunch. They can slice up some meat for you, you buy some packaged bread, some condiments and make your thanks. Many other general stores in Vermont makes sandwiches, salads and soups to go and/or places to sit down and enjoy them. Like the one I work at. We generally go down to a nice diner in Morrisville for lunch when we are kayaking Caspian. A very beautiful lake for sure.

Re: “2014: a Banner Year for #VTBeer

Nice overview. Limbo has come out in 22 oz bombers recently so lovers of this great beer have two options for drinking and sharing it with friends. Crop is gaining status with it's DIPA Idletyme and while Foley's deserves all the accolades for Fair Maiden it's Native IPA with Vermont hops is also well liked by those wanting the hoppy bitterness dialed down abit. Not mentioned is Fiddlehead's porter Hodad one of my fav porters as well as Foley's Old Hob. Tho Old Hob is considered a dark amber drinks like a porter for me. Don't just look for the already well known beers at these newish Vermont breweries. Some of the others in their lineup are worth trying. Maybe I misread but Sean Lawson has been driving down to Two Roads in Ct basically once a month since last spring producing SOS in bottles(22oz bombers) and just recently, this week will be the third week for SOS in cans. More bottles more happy smiles, new cans, even happier.

Re: “Church Street No-Trespass Ordinance Survives Legal Challenge

I would think the plaintiffs were well aware of that fact. To be continued........

Re: “Best spirits distiller

Whistle Pig is not a distillery, it should not be in this catagory. It buys in bulk Rye Whiskey from an Alberta distillery., in Canada and bottles it in Vermont. What a shame as there are several good Vermont distilleries.

Re: “WTF: How Can Barre and Montpelier Be Equidistant From Mile Marker 47 on Interstate 89? (And Other Highway Mysteries)

It's a shame people do not look at road maps anymore....if they do alot of silly questions can be answered.
