Re: “The Old Foundry Restaurant

Great salad/soup bar, love the courtyard!
I love sitting outdoors on the patio in the summertime. It's like dining in your own 19th century private courtyard! The Old Foundry is old; a historical building, and is a beautiful place to eat. The salad bar is amazing, and the lobster bisque is usually good, though one time I swear, it was like eating straight heavy cream...tasteless and not very hot! However, I think most people will say they rely on this place for its fantastic food and quality service. You can order lite fare from the menu for around or under $10 with all of the dreamy salad, soup and bread you can eat...but if you like seafood, I HIGHLY recommend the seafood bruchetta! I couldn't finish my plate, and it was light, flavorful and yummy! The bread is kept warm, and the ambiance is very fine New-England-esque. Definitely worth the trip to St. Albans! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 4
