More like a Black Hole ...
Term limits would cure just about everything that ails Congress. Citizens United vs. FEC decision makes the glaring case (literally!) to impose term limits on Supreme Court justices too.
Tapped out is exactly right Tim Cook, M.D. Trump as MY president who won fair and square. Thank god we have a president who is making decisions focused on America First, a person eager to and knowledgeable about dealing head-on with the huge gravy train filled with illegals and home-grown slackers. The sanctuary city model is scary. I want to know who is living in my community, my country, and want those who are here illegally gone. I am fine with using my tax dollars to help immigrants using the legal path to citizenship. Our veterans deserve all the niceties being extended to refugees in Vermont: housing assistance, free medical care, EBT cards, a vehicle. Thoroughly investigate those receiving government financed benefits & revamp the system to minimize fraud. End someone's benefits if they are scamming. For those found to be legitimately needing assistance, job training or at the very least, establish a program where people get benefit credits for doing volunteer work in their communities.
Secession? Please, spare me the ridiculous drama. Our state is in sorry shape. Our legislators have some real work to do.
I am disgusted by Burlington's and other state city officials lack of interest or action to help local veterans who have sacrificed so much and are hurting. I think they ought to have first dibs on housing and other vital support systems. I do not support people being in the U.S. illegally. As a U.S. citizen I have every right to know who is living in my community and where.
I found Kirk's comments to be simply his opinions. I took no offense. Perhaps the morality police in Burlington ought to find something else to do with their energy?
As usual, Leahy could not get enough of his own voice. I did not hear him answer one question directly, including why he won't release his EB-5 related e-mails and why he has not returned donations from GE and Bank of America. Milne will get my vote, Leahy's been corrupted.
