Re: “Carina Driscoll, Bernie Sanders' Stepdaughter, Announces Run for Burlington Mayor

Speaking of audits! Has anybody heard how the audit of Burlington College is going? Did they ever figure out who pilfered money out of the college while it went down the tubes? It seems like the state auditor would be all over this issue if it reflected badly on Democrats or Republicans! But obviously he won't make the Progressives look bad!

Re: “Carina Driscoll, Bernie Sanders' Stepdaughter, Announces Run for Burlington Mayor

So does Bernie get to transfer all of his unused campaign money to her or does she just use the $500,000 she "earned" from Burlington College???

Re: “A Year After Al Franken's Visit, Vermont Dems React to His Scandal

Lets keep track of the politicians that have the courage to demand that someone from their own party step down! You won't need a calculator! All that we will hear is excuses for those offenders and then comments like "they apologized so that makes it OK". Where is the outrage from Women's groups? Where is the outrage from Bernie who is outraged about everything? The democrats and republicans will go into full attack mode if the offender is from the other party, but will always protect their own. Do any of them have the integrity to stand up and say "this disrespect of women is WRONG and you have to go!" No excuses! Just resign! Enough is enough. I look forward to our elected officials from Vermont doing the right thing!

Re: “Council Selects Schurz, ZRF to Buy Burlington Telecom

It seems like this choice is a compromise which is quite refreshing! It seems that everything was carried out with maximum public input. Miro has done a great job of straightening out the city finances since the disaster of the previous Mayor. Newsflash! Burlington still owes Citibank millions of dollars! When we read that everything was settled with Citibank, it didn't mean that they are giving Burlington a pass on paying the money back, it just gave more time to pay it back once there was a sale. Great job by the city council vetting out all of the proposals! Lets move forward and let the council move on to other business!
