Re: “Will the Revolution Be Monetized? Bernie Sanders' 'Dark Money' Org

What a hypocrite! What they are doing is the exact thing that Bernie always railed against! Untraceable shady money. Is it true that the Sander's family charitable deductions on income tax were made to his own PACs? It is nice to see that nepotism is alive and well in the Sanders family. $500,000 to the daughter's woodworking school. $100,000 for the son to run his PAC? Welcome to pure capitalism!!

Re: “Sanders Releases 10 Years of Income Tax Returns

Bernie should be commended for releasing all of this! It should be a law that our politicians do this. Especially if they are at the federal level like Senators and House Of Representatives. Amazing with this million dollar income that they didn't need a tax expert to complete everything!.

Re: “Bernie Sanders Raises $18.2 Million in First 41 Days

I still do not feel comfortable with all of this money going to one candidate. It should be shared with the Democratic Party to even out the playing field. Remember, I am only talking about excess campaign money. He could still keep the capped amount of $5 million. Excess campaign money corrodes democracy. That is, it can be translated into excess political power, including the power to generate more excess campaign money. When too much campaign money is concentrated into the hand of too few, democracy suffers. The view that you are promoting is way too capitalistic. This method would be much better as it is socialistic!

Re: “Bernie Sanders Raises $18.2 Million in First 41 Days

This amount of money is not fair to the other candidates. Shouldn't there be a cap, say Five million dollars that he could keep. Then anything over that would go back to the Democratic party to help candidates that need financial help. It is not fair that he is established and can raise all of this money. It seems like the richest 10% of candidates have 90% of the money!!

Re: “Vermont Still Has No Plan to Pay for Clean Water

Where are New York and Quebec on this cleanup? You have Ticonderoga with this huge paper mill pumping their toxic waste into the lake and Quebec has the huge commercial farms dumping their toxic fertilizer in the lake. Does anyone have the guts to send them each a bill for 1/3 of this cost?

Re: “Burlington Democrats Endorse Incumbent Weinberger for Mayor

Wow!! Now that Bernie's daughter is running for Mayor the Progressive attack dogs are going to do everything they can to stab Miro in the back. The Progressives always want and usually get the Democratic support but it is a totally one way street. As soon as they have their own candidate they have no use for the Democrats. What a bunch hypocrites! The fact is the Kiss/Leopold administration left the city in financial shambles. Miro has brought Burlington back to financial respectability. Sorry, just facts not FAKE NEWS!!

Re: “Vermont Senate Sends Marijuana Legalization Bill to Governor

You have got to be kidding me!! Vermont finally legalized pot which they should have done about 5 years ago!
But you cannot figure out how to tax it?? All we have heard about the Vermont budget is that we have to raise income and property taxes to pay for our dwindling tax base. Here we have an excellent source of revenue that might relieve some of that burden and we cannot figure out how to tax it? Are we depending on the current drug dealers to start paying income taxes on what they are selling now? Even a state as wacky as Massachusetts figured out how to tax it. We don't have to re-invent the wheel here. Just copy what they did! We could make a ton of tax money from tourists! If this is the first baby step, I hope the next steps are a sprint to do this right!!
