Re: “Yangser Dorjee’s Himalaya Restaurant

Himalaya is a great new lunch spot for the downtown crowd. It is spacious with views of the water (if you look beyond the old warehouse-type buildings), and there is plenty of seating to go around. I had a combination of 6 momo, two of each variety (beef, chicken, and vegetarian). They were just the right mix of savory and spicy, and the red sauce that accompanied them added a wonderful zing. The service was fast and attentive, and it was easy to get in and out within an hour and get back to the office (although I'm sure a more leisurely meal would have been possible). To sum up: 5 stars!

Re: “A Vermont Lawyer Says He'll Take Payment in Bitcoin

Interesting, but is the bill issued in BTC or USD? If it's issued in USD, accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment is more like accepting a credit card. The swings in BTC prices won't matter if you have to convert BTC to USD to find out how much you owe on the bill.

Re: “How the Burlington Telecom 'Debacle' Divided a City Council

Can someone please ask President Knodell how a bid from a company that opposes net neutrality that has promised to "optimize" BT or some nonsense code for cutting jobs and sell it in 5 years AND THAT OFFERED LESS MONEY THAN TING is a "great bid"? I'm serious. What in the hell is the appeal of Schurz other than it's not the one the Democrats liked? Dave Hartnett, same question. I'll try not to shout "Bullshit!" during your answer but no promises.

Re: “Once Spurned, Burlington Telecom Bidders Pursue Joint Venture

"And the co-op Keep BT Local raised its bid from $12 million to $18 million though the co-op has yet to raise the $6 million difference." Serious question - what is the basis for KBTL stating that they expect to raise $6M in equity?

Re: “Public Safety Commissioner Fears Legal Pot Will Increase Traffic Deaths

re "How could you not push back?" it's a news story about what administration officials said at a public hearing, not an interview.

Re: “Tucows, KBTL Can't Agree on Burlington Telecom Ownership Plan

Hope the KBTL Board likes Schurz.

Re: “Carina Driscoll, Bernie Sanders' Stepdaughter, Considering a Run for Burlington Mayor

It's not more listening that she wants, it's more agreeing with the voices that she agrees with.
