Re: “Yangser Dorjee’s Himalaya Restaurant

Himalaya is a great new lunch spot for the downtown crowd. It is spacious with views of the water (if you look beyond the old warehouse-type buildings), and there is plenty of seating to go around. I had a combination of 6 momo, two of each variety (beef, chicken, and vegetarian). They were just the right mix of savory and spicy, and the red sauce that accompanied them added a wonderful zing. The service was fast and attentive, and it was easy to get in and out within an hour and get back to the office (although I'm sure a more leisurely meal would have been possible). To sum up: 5 stars!

Re: “Vermont Leaders Make a Case for Opiate Prescription Data Transparency

John, a few things. First, the fact that Medicare Part D recipients are mostly older folks is acknowledged in the story - you comment as though it is not. Second, you seem to assume that none of the opioid prescriptions going to recipients aged 65 and older are contributing to the opioid epidemic. That doesn't seem like a very sound assumption. Third, should we not care about physicians' prescribing habits as to their older patients? Aren't they likely indicative of their prescribing habits overall, and doesn't that matter? Fourth, presumably Part D demographics are uniform across states, and yet Vermont prescriptions are still consistently higher than other states year over year. Even if we ONLY care as to the 15%, shouldn't we care? Finally, the vertical axes are clearly labeled and you'd need to be pretty dumb to misinterpret them.

Re: “Rope-a-Dope: Scott Elusive on Future of Pot Bill

Governor Scott seems to need a deeper bench - his administration has done a poor job thus far of getting out ahead of legislative issues and making the Governor's position clear to the Legislature.

Re: “PBS to Air Documentary on Rutland Basketball and Racism

Isn't the documentary about how the high school basketball community in Rutland reacted to five black players on the MSJ team? Sounds like Rutland basketball to me.

Re: “Burlington Town Center Project Gets the Green Light

Awesome! Let's revitalize the Town Center before it becomes a dead mall, increase the rental housing stock, and breathe new life into our downtown!!

Re: “'Mob' Attacks Middlebury Prof and Controversial Speaker Charles Murray

"Everyone who does something I don't want to be seen as genuine MUST have been paid to do it by my enemies." A great example of how the far right and the far left are, in many ways, in agreement.
