Stuck in Vermont: Author Jason Chin Inspires Summer Readers in Winooski

Episode 541

The Children's Literacy Foundation (CLiF) has been fostering a love for reading and writing among low-income kids in Vermont and New Hampshire since 1998. We visited one of CLiF's Summer Readers programs at JFK Elementary School in Winooski last Tuesday where South Burlington author and illustrator Jason Chin was speaking about his work to students. Later, we talked to kids about the importance of reading in their lives and joined them for some quiet reading time.
