Re: “Wealthy Mormon Buys Up Vermont Land for Massive Settlement

Oh, and the website also states, "NewVista natural gas systems extend a relatively short distance from the drilling site. The minimal usage from the 960 standard buildings and other buildings allows a more economical infrastructure than is common in today's cities." So, does that mean they will want to drill for natural gas on the Vermont land?

Re: “Wealthy Mormon Buys Up Vermont Land for Massive Settlement

To quote from the NewVista Foundation website, "A NewVista is a settlement comprised of 50 diamond-shaped communities of 15,000 to 20,000 people each, which are located adjacent to each other. This larger settlement of adjacent communities, called a NewVista, has a population of 750,000 to 1,000,000 people when fully developed. This urban model drastically reduces the need for an automobile, the cost of housing, the need for separate buildings for residences and businesses, and would locate jobs for many people in close proximity to their residence." So, is plan to stop at 20,000 people or to just keep growing? And while the community might be open to non-Mormons, the website suggests it will be run by Mormon (Joseph Smith's) principles regarding economics, health, education, etc.
