Ted Leo and the Pharmicists, Sad13

When: Mon., Dec. 4, 8 p.m. 2017
Price: $18/20
Sad13 is the solo project of Speedy Ortiz front woman Sadie Dupuis. Both projects share the writer’s sharp wit, indelible hooks and fearless charisma. But under her weepy moniker, Dupuis balances the grungy, ’90s-era indie-rock aesthetics for which her band is known with sparkly synths and electro-pop influences. Earlier this year, the New York Times named the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist one of the most influential and relevant voices in rock music, alongside a number of other female and nonbinary musicians. Sad13 performs on Monday, December 4, at ArtsRiot in Burlington. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists headline.
