'The Vermont We Cannot See'

When: Aug. 6-Sept. 14 2019
Phone: 802-244-7801
When you live in Vermont, striking views are all around you, not just in the natural world but in a zillion reproductions on everything from oil paintings to T-shirts. Right now at Axel’s Gallery & Frame Shop in Waterbury, an exhibition of photographs reveals landscapes that, as the title states, are normally invisible. The infrared images of Lisa Diamondstein, Julie Parker and Sandra Shenk capture a spectrum of light that is beyond the human eye’s ability to detect. The absence of color in this surreal “hidden” world underscores how our sense of reality relies on green grass, blue sky.
