Re: “Magnolia Bistro

Catered Event at Magnolia
I’ve been in Magnolia’s many times and have always been very satisfied with the food and service. When we needed a place to hold our wedding rehearsal dinner they immediately came to mind. I was a bit hesitant at first having only ever had breakfast there, but after our initial discussions with the proprietors I was convinced they were up to the task. They are also quite competitively priced compared to other options in downtown Burlington. We worked with them a bit on the menu (not that they were short on great ideas) and everything came together wonderfully. The proprietors worked all night to ensure everything went well, from the timing of the courses to the music, while not being in the way of things at all. They used lots of local and organic ingredients, had ample staff on hand, and the food was excellent. In particular, many in attendance (myself included) thought Magnolias’ homemade roasted delicata squash ravioli was better than ANYTHING the NECI folks made for our wedding the next day, including expensive plated entrees. I’m not sure when I’ll next need to have a catered dinner, but I have no doubt I’ll have at Magnolia’s. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5
