So an 18 year old can join the military, buy a house, go thousands of dollars in debt with student loans, buy whatever car they afford, and many other things, but god forbid you wanna buy a hunting rifle, or a pack of smokes. This states legislators have lost their minds. Especially since the one trying to control a substance has how many dwi's?
You may want to do a little fact checking on your "reporting". Yes, you can buy a firearm online without a background check, however, it MUST be shipped to a licensed dealer, who then HAS to preform a background check before it can be released to the buyer. Also to sell at a gun show, you must have a federal firearms license, law also dictates, that if you have one of those, you MUST perform a background check when selling a firearm. Please stop spreading more lies that uninformed people take to heart as fact.
After reading this article, I think it is smart that more gun control isn't being pushed for right now. That being said, burlington passing stricter laws and charter changes is against the vermont constitution, and therefore direct violation of all their oaths of office. Although I do have one question about this article that maybe the author or editor can answer: what, exactly, is "high capacity ammunition?"
Re: “Scott Pulls State-Owned Nazi Rifle Off the Market”
Yea, let's not let the state make some money without it being from taxes and let them go to someone's collection or anything. I find it hard to fathom that this is somehow supporting the symbol that's been on collectors items for almost 100 years. I'd think if the case was that you want nothing to do with it, to let it go to a private collection or museum where it's not your problem and someone might enjoy it. You can't erase history by ignoring it.
