Re: “At Statehouse Rally, Vermont Students Join Call for Gun Control

It's sad that the students aren't taught the Constitution in school. If they were they would know that the 2nd amendment is absolute. If they want to change it they must call for a constitutional convention and get it changed legally.
And any elected official whether they agree or not they have taken an oath to defend and protect the Constitution. To vote to impose any gun law without a constitutional amendment is a violation of their oath.

Re: “No New Moran: Burlington Ends Old Plant Redevelopment Talks

When government gets involved in any project the cost automatically at least doubles. Turn it over to some construction company and tell them to have at it.

Re: “Nurse Shortage Puts Vermont Parents on the Hook for Kids' Care

The biggest tragedy is the money wasted in government could easily cover the cost of providing service that is needed. $2M here, $3M there, $4M saved and funding is available to hire more nurses at deserved salaries. But unfortunately on our present course this will continue to be a struggle for these families.

Re: “Vermont Officials Prepare for Lower Revenues, Budget Cuts

It is positively amazing that the brain trust of Vermont has no clue what the reality is. Vermont is becoming increasingly unaffordable and the business climate is gloomy. There won't be an improvement until we get leadership that understands.
