Welcome to the New Kids VT Site

Posted By on Thu, Sep 1, 2011 at 3:14 PM

Welcome to a new - and much-improved - Kids VT website. Here you'll find a more user-friendly calendar of events, a comprehensive list of Family Resources and new tools for customizing your experience, all designed to foster a sense of community for Vermont's families.

Once you register on the site, you can save favorite places or organizations, set reminders for upcoming events and share your experiences with others using social media. The calendar includes all the events, playgroups, story times and exhibits it always did, but the new format is information-rich with maps, images and links to event organizers. Pick a festival you want to attend, save it to a custom list, add it to your personal calendar or print it out for later.

Looking for something you saw in our free monthly magazine? Browse the article archives and see current and past issues, or search for content by topic or author, and mark your favorite articles. Kids VT's Resource Guide is more search-able now, too: Find comprehensive listings in categories such as Baby & Maternity, Healthy Families and Camps & Summer Programs. Then, narrow your search by interest or county, or look things up by name.

Get started with the September issue of Kids VT and the feature stories on gifted education and childhood vaccinations.

And let us know what you think of our new site: Send us an email with your feedback on the content or design.

Thanks for reading!

Since 2014, Seven Days has allowed readers to comment on all stories posted on our website. While we’ve appreciated the suggestions and insights, the time has come to shut them down — at least temporarily.

While we champion free speech, facts are a matter of life and death during the coronavirus pandemic, and right now Seven Days is prioritizing the production of responsible journalism over moderating online debates between readers.

To criticize, correct or praise our reporting, please send us a letter to the editor. Or send us a tip. We’ll check it out and report the results.

Online comments may return when we have better tech tools for managing them. Thanks for reading.
