Re: “El Gato Cantina (Burlington)

Fun Girls Night Out!
Recently I visited El Gato for my first time with a group of gal pals on a Friday night. Our expected table wait was a pleasant one as we were escorted towards the back of the restaurant where there are small tables and bench seating. We had a margarita in hand and chips and yummy fresh salsa within minutes! Once seated at a high top in the buzzing bar area, we were immediately greeted by our server. Everyone chose different items to sample. I personally was enticed by the elote appetizer enough to brave eating corn on the cob in public - well worth it! My burrito was stuffed with shredded chicken, rice and beans and literally dwarfed the sides of refried beans and rice. No room for dessert unfortunately...maybe next time. I was also very pleased with the prices...drinks are spot on with other downtown establishments and my meal was a very reasonable $9.99. Can't wait to take the menu for a spin again soon! Food: 4 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5
