Re: “Burlingtonians Speak Out to Save Memorial Auditorium

Gut it or tear it down. We need something that can hold 2500+. The bathrooms and bar are under the stage, its silly. You could never drink a beer and watch a show as you were confined in the basement. We have acts that can't come to Burlington any longer because we cannot support them. Lets change that with a modern decision from the people who live in Burlington today!

Re: “No New Moran: Burlington Ends Old Plant Redevelopment Talks

The last thing I want for this site is to house the homeless. I'm sorry, but I want the public space to enjoy myself. Housing the homeless in the middle of a public use space is not going to solve problems. Homeless issues require much more planning then just giving them a place to live. It also requires the people in question to _want_ help.

Re: “North Avenue Bike Lane Survey Leads to Controversy

This project is much safer and much better for commuters of ALL types than previous. This is a no brainer to keep the pilot in place as a permanent thing. People need to slow down and they don't want to, this forces them. Deal with it! Safety first!

Re: “The Parmelee Post: Pedestrians Warned That Repaved Burlington Bike Path Is Harder to Block

The point Carol, is that there should not be a crowd of people standing in the middle of the bike path. Do you stand in the middle of Battery St and complain there are too many cars in your way too?

Re: “Moran on Main? Officials Seek Solutions for Memorial Auditorium

Tear it down. Burlington needs an auditorium, and 4mil to renovate will not help in the long run. Tear it down, get UVM or some other partners and build something amazing that we can use for years to come.

Re: “Former Bove's Café Could Meet the Wrecking Ball

Tear it down. Everyone is against building up, everyone is against building out, everyone is against everything. You have a city that HAS to grow one way or another and the loud folks are against it. You cant have your cake and eat it too, so make a choice to keep some of these old buildings and tear down the others to make room for something new. Memorial Aud is another great example. Its an ugly condemned box. Time for something new that has more uses by the many people that need it (music, art, events, etc).

Some of these decisions are painful, but Burlington has done nothing but sit on its hands for years when it comes to infrastructure. Time to change that.
