The intimate jukebox musical — adapted from the 2006 Broadway production — walks the line through the storied career of the country music rebel. Fans can expect more than 30 of the Man in Black’s gritty hits, from “Folsom Prison Blues” to “Jackson.”

Artists grab their brushes and descend on downtown Middlebury for the Sparrow Plein Air Festival, a three-day show of outdoor painting prowess. The town-wide creative endeavor — named after the French expression meaning “in the open air” — calls to beginners and veterans alike with workshops, demos and a chance to display their work at the “Wet Paint” exhibit and sale.
