Courtney Lamdin is a staff writer at Seven Days, covering politics, policy and public safety in Burlington. She has received top honors from the New England Newspaper & Press Association, including for "Warning Shots," a coauthored investigation into how immigrant youths became entangled in gun violence. She also serves on a committee with the New England First Amendment Coalition, a nonprofit that advocates for transparency in government. Courtney studied journalism at Saint Michael's College and got her start as a reporter and editor for three weekly newspapers in Chittenden County. Her ideal weekend involves drinking tea, perusing library book sales and watching women's basketball.
