Yes, it’s February, and Vermont is covered in snow. But before you know it, the ground will thaw, the trees will sprout leaves, the final bell of the school year will sound, and your kids will be looking for something to do.

Fortunately, this Kids VT 2026 Camp Guide is full of options. Singing, dancing, rock climbing, mountain biking, gymnastics, circus arts, Brazilian jiujitsu — there’s gotta be a day or overnight program here that you and your kids can get excited about. That includes traditional sleepaway camps, which offer days and nights blissfully free of digital distraction.

It sounds relaxing, but sadly the sign-up process is not. Spots in high-demand programs fill up fast: If you’re not already organized, it’s time to get started. In this guide, we talk with a few local moms who track their summer plans on spreadsheets. They’ve got some tips for fellow parents — and suggestions for camp directors, too.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, keep checking the Vermont Camp & School Finder powered by Kids VT. Some programs may not have finalized their summer plans yet, either.
